Fair Competition International Forum Held in Shanghai
On November 10th, just the third anniversary day of China s entry into the WTO, the Fair Competition & Market Economy 2004 Shanghai International Forum, co-organized by Shanghai Administration of Industry and Commerce and Fair Competition Bureau of State Administration of Industry and Commerce, was held with great success at Shanghai International Convention Center.
Since China advances its reform on the economic system and the global economic integration speeds up, market competition tends to be increasingly intensive. And the meeting with the theme of Fair Competition and Market Economy was convened just against that background with a view to probing into new ways of fair competition law enforcement in new circumstances and constructing a sound market environment of fair competition and it is the first of its kind in Shanghai Seventeen keynote speakers expressed their views on the forum on the following four themes, namely, competition law and its enforcement ,competition law and public utilities and big-scale franchising supermarkets , competition law and enterprise development and self-discipline and competition law and the abuse of intellectual property rights . Among them, there were leaders from SAIC and SHAIC, high-level officials from German Cartel Office, Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russian Federation, Competition Bureau of Korea Fair Trade Commission, etc. The forum has also invited domestically outstanding experts and scholars and senior executives from world-famous transnationals. More than 600 guests attended the forum. |
